Hi J.Oakes,

Thanks for the email. We were touched by your concern and "tears" for our welfare
and that of our children as ministry staff. We cannot forget that. Thanks for
the inspirational classes as well.

Hope you will make Lagosthis year either during AFRICAN LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
or later in the year. Titi, Philip and Phoebe send their love.

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THIS SEASON.MAY HIS BIRTH, LIFE, DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION
CONTINUE TO BE A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION FOR YOU AND I, NOW AND FOREVER MORE.AMEN.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.

Mr. Oakes;

Today was our formal debate on the topic. We won!  Our opponents were stumped
with the Anthropic Principle and DNA being a pattern and patterns are designed
by a mind stuff .   My teacher commented and said it was the best debate she
has heard in a Debate 1 class and that the debate would even be successful in state
competition! She also said that she voted for the Pro side because she had never
heard of the Anthropic Principle, it interested her and the Con side couldn’t
shoot it down. Thank a bunch for your help!

Sincerly,

Hello Dr. Oakes,
My name is Joe. I am a part of the Riverside County Church of Christ. I want
to thank you, first for coming out and teaching us on two seperate occassions.
The second thing that I appreciate is the fact that I used your book, "Is There
a God?" in one of my college level essays. I also used authors such as Lee Strobel
and Dr. Douglas Jacoby. You’re research helped me out tremendously. The professor
loved paper! If you want me to e-mail it to you, I would love to have you read
it since you were a contributing part in it. Just e-mail me back with instructions oh
how to do that. Thanks so much. To God be the glory!

Thank you John and Jan!   I look forward to reading the latest installment of
your newsletter, which I have printed out.

Also, I just wanted to mention that a few weeks ago I saw (both parts I and
II of) the public television show described below.   Certainly ?made me a believer? (reinforced
my long-held beliefs) in ?intelligent design?!

Hope all is well with you and your children, and happy holidays to you (well
in advance!)

Think Tank With Ben Wattenberg "Intelligent Design vs. Evolution, Pt. 2" 00:26 #1425 PBSPL
Charles Darwin’s explanation of evolution through natural selection has been
challenged by an alternative concept called intelligent design (ID). A growing
number of science teachers and school boards are struggling with how to present
students with the facts. Even acknowledging the existence of an argument has
become controversial. How should students learn the history of life on this
planet? Are Christianity and other major religions incompatible with Darwinian
evolution? Is there any evidence to support intelligent design? Can ID and Darwin
find common ground? Host Ben Wattenberg is joined by Dr. Stephen Meyer, director
of the Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture, and author of "Darwinism,
Design and Public Education"; and Dr. Michael Ruse, Director of the Program in
the Philosophy of the History of Science at Florida State University, and author
of numerous books, including "Darwinism and Design and Can a Darwinian be a
Christian?" Part 2 of 2. [TVRE] R of 10/22 5pm
