What are some of your thoughts of global warming and 2 Peter 3: 10-13?

Answer:

My thoughts are that there is absolutely no connection whatsoever between
global warming and 2 Peter 3:10-13. This passage is certainly not talking
about some sort of extremely slow process of raising the temperature of
the earth a few degrees!!! I do believe that the evidence is a slam dunk
that our planet is warming rapidly on a geological time scale and that
human impact is a factor (although possibly not the entire cause) of this
warming. However, there is no conceivable connection between this and the
return of Jesus and the subsequent judging of the earth by fire.
