QUESTION:

Can you please tell me how to share the gospel in a simple manner?  My friend is a Hindu but does nt particularly believe in it

Answer:

My experience tells me that most Hidus respect Jesus, but do not understand who he was and what he said about himself.   You should start with theatcommon ground, which is that he or she probably already believes that Jesus was a godly man.   So, I think the best thing you can do is read the book of John together.  As you read it, you should point out the miracles of Jesus and his claims.   You should point out how his miracles verify his claims about himself.  Remember that the purpose of the book of John was that those who hear it will come to belief (John 20:31).  It is perhaps the best book in the Bible to help create faith in those who know little about Jesus.

Things go focus in on:

John 1:1-2 and 14.    Jesus is God in the flesh.  He brought grace and truth.

John 1:18   God came and lived with us.  When we see Jesus we see God.

John 5&6  Jesus claims to be the bread of life and he proves it by giving bread to the people.

John 8 & 9  Jesus claims to be the light of the world and proves it by giving sight to a man born blind.

John 11  Jesus claims to be the resurrection and the life and proves it by raising Lazarus from the dead.

John 14:  Jesus claims to be the only way to God.

John 18 & 19  Jesus willingly offers his life for our sin.

John 20:26   If we believe, we can have life in his name.

Conclusion:  Jesus is not some sort of guru.   He is God–the creator of heaven and earth who came here so that we can know God and have a relationship with him.  He came to take care of the problem of sin.

While you do this, you could also point out the fact that Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of the Messiah in the Old Testament–you could sprinkle in a few examples.

I hope this helps
