A Book Recommendation

Many of us have been diving into questions about the role of women in the ministry of the Church.  Is the relationship between men and women complementarian or egalitarian?  Is there some sort of half-way position?  I want to recommend a book on the topic by John Mark Hicks, Women Serving God. I do not necessarily endorse all the conclusion John reaches in this book, but I find it to be an immensely scholarly, thoroughly biblical, compelling take on this important question. It is also a compelling story of a journey of one man from a strong position that women should remain silent in the churches to the full egalitarian position. I heartily recommend this book no matter where you currently find yourself on this Christian issue.
