Dr. John Beggs, physics professor at Indiana University gave an amazing presentation on the the implications of discoveries in neuroscience on the question of human consciousness, free will and the soul.  He gave a detailed picture of what we know about brain function from neuroscience, especially from his own research program.  He explained how the determinists are attempting to “prove” that free will does not exist and disparage the idea of consciousness and a spiritual aspect of human reality in general.  He responded wonderfully by showing that, first of all, the evidence does NOT support the deterministic conclusion but in fact is in agreement with the Christian world view.  The power point is attached.  The audio, along with all the classes from the 2015 ICEC will be available in about a week at www.ipibooks.com    World Views and Modern Neuroscience
