I promised students a summary of the Book of Mormon by Joe Fields.  Here it is.   doc The Book of Mormon (Joe Fields)

This will be a ten hour class; part six of our Certificate Program in Christian Apologetics.  It will be held Friday May 28 5:30-9:30 and Saturday May 29 8:30-4:00.  Class will be taught by John Oakes, PhD and Dan Conder.  The class can be taken for credit or audited.  The class will include dinner Friday PM.  The cost of the class will be $35.  For those taking the class for credit, required reading assignments will be posted soon.  The location will be the Mission Center of Hope 6162 Mission Gorge Road Suite A, San Diego, California.  For more information or to register please contact Jan Oakes 858-505-8841 or joakes01@san.rr.com.

Required Reading:

The Illustrated Guide to World Religions by Michael D. Coogan  Oxford University Press.  Available through Amazon or Ebay at a reasonable cost.  This is a relatively unbiased general introduction to most of the world’s religions.

Suggested "extra credit" reading: 

The Compact Guide to World Religions edited by Dean C. Halverson.  This is also available at Amazon or other on line store for a reasonable price.  It is a bit more apologetic and polemic than the other book.
