The most famous atheist in the world today is almost certainly Richard Dawkins (see the review of his book in the "What’s New" section). Up until three years ago, the honor probably went to Antony Flew. That is, until he publicly announced that he has become convinced of the Anthropic Argument and of the existence of God. Flew has published a book describing his "conversion" to theism "There is a God: How the World’s Most Nororious Atheist Changed his Mind." The book came out November 1st. It is published by Harper Collins. Flew co-wrote the book, raising some controversy from atheists claiming a senile man was manipulated by his co-author. Flew’s response: "My name is on the book and it represents exactly my opinions…. The idea that someone manipulated me because I’m old is exactly wrong. I may be old, but it is hard to manipulate me." Those interested should be aware that Flew definitely has not become a Christian (and also that I myself have not read this book yet!)
