The bible says in Romans that people without the Bible (or those who have never heard the message) will be judged by their conscience. My question is about those who have read scriptures in the Bible or attended church sincerely, but have never had a true disciple of Jesus Christ show them the true way […]
I have been a Christian for three years and a half, so I believe in the Bible. And I WANT to believe in the Bible. Couldn’t I change the truth to please myself and to justify my faith? How can I be sure that I am following the right way? I have read some apologetic […]
“If God is (1) perfectly loving, (2) omnipotent and (3) omniscient, why is evil so prevalent in the world? The free will defense explains ‘moral evils’ such as murder and rape, yet it fails to explain ‘natural evils’ such as earthquakes and cancer. Is this because Satan has free will as well?” You are right, […]
“Where are the dinosaurs mentioned in the Bible? How would you answer this question, and what scriptures convey the truth about the matter?” The fact is, nowhere in the Bible are dinosaurs mentioned! Nor are quasars, black holes, blue-green algae or DNA. The Bible is a book focused on humans and our relationship with God. […]
“Could you clarify how ancient races outside the Middle East had the opportunity to learn about God? E.g., what about the 40,000+ year-old aboriginal culture of Australia, Pacific islanders, or the Aztecs?” ? Several inquirers Without the scriptures or the Hebrew prophets (who addressed a number of Middle Eastern nations), the gentiles had the opportunity […]
I have a question that I am finding hard to come to grips with though. From the fossil record, as you put it, we see ape, ape ape, man, man. Now Cro Magnon man is considered by anthropologists to be biologically speaking, as human as we are. You didn’t actually mention in your book how […]
The complete question: I have recently finished a Christian evidences class in my congregation. In that class we learned several proofs of the validity of the Bible, including prophecies that eventually came true. One of these prophecies was Ezekiel 26. We learned that God became angry at the people of Tyre in that time and […]
I understand that Thomas went as far as India, but I am not so sure whether he is the one who wrote ?The Gospel of Thomas.? Should this book be in the Bible? Indeed, tradition is strong that the apostle Thomas established the church in India sometime in the ?40s. Although I started out skeptical […]
The book of Jashar is one of the many books cited in the OT. Following is a list (possibly incomplete) of sources cited in the O.T. books. The list omits references to other O.T. books. These works are “extrabiblical”-outside (extra, Latin) the Bible. The Book of the Wars of the Lord-Numbers 21:14The Poets-Numbers 21:27The Book […]
I recently read of books called ‘Q’ and the Gospel of Thomas. Interesting reading! I was wondering what you thought of them and their authenticity. Why are they not included in the Bible? Actually, much of “Q”-the hypothetical source of material common to Matthew and Luke-is in the New Testament. Let me recommend you read […]
The term literally means “the fallen ones.” Some say they were a race of giants, the offspring of angels and women, to which Goliath and Lahmi belonged. (This sounds too much like Greek, Roman, and Norse mythology for me.) Others say they were the sinful seed of Cain, who later appear as the Canaanites. Scholarship […]
Rather than aim to demonstrate the error of other religions, denominations, or sects, Christians are called to proclaim the truth and let their light shine. The positive focus will draw others to Christ much more than a negative demonstration of the ignorance and lostness of those who do not know God. Still, there is an […]
I have heard that Genesis chapter one and Genesis chapter two are contradictory stories of the creation, written by two different authors. Is this true? No and maybe. No to the first question. Genesis chapter one is the story of the creation of the universe and more specifically of the earth and the life on […]
If one can assume that this question is about the additions to the Old Testament which are included in the Roman Catholic Bible, then the bottom line answer is simple. The canon of the Old Testament was set by the teachers of Judaism. The Old Testament Apocrypha was never accepted by any of the Jewish […]
I have heard that the Old Testament was written by Jewish priests just a couple of hundred years before Christ, and that it is totally unreliable historically, with lots of religious fables and myths. How can I be sure about this? Two hundred years ago it would have been hard to produce hard evidence to […]
If so, when? How would this relate to creation as described in Genesis? The big bang is one of a number of models cosmologists have for the history of the universe. It happens to be by far the most widely accepted model for the simple reason that it agrees so well with the data scientists […]
It would be a mistake to give a formula to help all people come to faith in Jesus Christ because obviously every person is unique. Some people have more of an intellectual, abstract mind-set, while others tend toward thinking of life in terms of relationships. Still others tend to be motivated by logical arguments, while […]
If so, was it a world-wide flood, or just a local phenomenon in Mesopotamia? Is there any evidence for the flood happening? This question has certainly brought about a lot of debate over the years. Many have scoffed at the “myth” of the flood in the time of Noah. The principle reason for intellectuals to […]
This question is answered in detail in an article at this web site, The Miracles of Jesus. Let us give a synapsis. The reason for belief in the miracles of Jesus can be separated into two categories, which are; 1. The reliability of the gospel witnesses. 2. The testimony of non-Christian authors. The first point […]
This is a very good question, and it brings up one of the most important issues one faces in dealing with question relating to the Bible and to faith. The fact is that we will almost certainly never find a “smoking gun” sort of proof that Adam and Eve were actual historical people. It is […]
This is probably the most controversial question which relates to science and the Bible. In fact, many Bible believers have divided along the lines of this controversy. In addressing this question, one would do well to remember the words of Paul in 2 Timothy 2:23,24; “Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, […]
What one can say with absolute certainty is that there are fossils of dinosaurs found scattered across every continent on the globe. Did dinosaurs ever live? The obvious answer is that they certainly did live at a time in the very distant past. The only conceivable alternative argument is that God created the earth with […]
Many critics of Christianity claim that the Bible we read today has been changed in major ways since the originals were written. For example, some have claimed that there are “hundreds of thousands of errors” in our present Bibles. Some have claimed that the Catholic Church in the fourth and fifth centuries made major revisions […]
[Why do some some believe that you must speak in tongues in order to have a great relationship with God?] First of all, I would refer you to the book by my friend Douglas Jacoby who is certainly much more the expert on this subject.? His book is The Holy Spirit.? It available at www.ipibooks.com. […]
That is a good question! Because I wrote the book, "Daniel, Prophet to the Nations" I have had to research this question somewhat carefully. The best I can tell, the Bible gives absolutely no direct information as to the lineage of Daniel, or where he was born. For this reason, one is left to speculate […]
Question: Why did He really create us? He knew most would reject Him. He knew all would fall short. He knew they would eat that apple! And if we say He created us because He wanted to love us, etc.. then that means He has needs. I am really trying to ‘believe’ that God is […]
In the year 2000 Robert Ballard, famed for discovering the Titanic, made an astounding discovery.? Several? hundred feet below the current later level in the Black Sea, he discovered an ancient coast line and even signs of human habitation.? Both of of these discoveries strongly suggest that several thousands of years ago there was a […]
Science says the earth is old, but the Bible says the earth is young. Which is correct, and how can I know? The first statement is correct, while the second statement is a question of interpretation. In other words, scientific evidence, from any of at least a dozen independent methods of calculation leads to the […]
Question: What about other religions? Are they true ways to know God? How can I know? Answer: In the end, those who seek after the truth will have to answer this question for themselves, because for each individual, what he or she really means by the question will be different. Many people, of course, say […]
What inconsistencies and mistakes? It is easier to complain that the Bible is full of inconsistencies and mistakes than it is to find one which will stand up to careful study. Claiming that the Bible is full of errors and inconsistencies is the standard approach of many Bible critics. Of course, there are many good […]
Ultimately, that is the question which this web site attempts to answer, so the first suggestion is to cruise through the site, picking articles to read to help you answer the question. However, please consider an outline of some of the evidence which strongly supports belief that the Bible is the inspired word of God […]
Abstract: Many major fields of science were founded by Bible-believing Christians. A number of these are listed and discussed. Newton, Faraday, Kelvin, and Maxwell, who are among the greatest physicists in history, were all Bible-believing Christians. Many of the major fields of science were founded by Christians. This information was taken from the book Men […]

(Robert Jastrow was Founder of NASA’s Goddard Institute and director of Mt.Wilson Institute and Observatories) " … we know now that the universe had a beginning, and that all things that exist in this universe?life, planets, stars?can be traced back to that beginning, and it’s a curiously theological result to come out of science." For […]
We live in an age of incredible technological growth. I can remember when my school system brought me the first small computer that I had ever seen. It was a Commodore and the only language that it knew was BASIC. I learned the language and wrote my own programs for my students because there was […]
And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, "Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered, "Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest […]
THE PROBLEM OF EARLY MONOTHEISM The Bible teaches that monotheism was the earliest conception of God. The very first verse of Genesis is monotheistic: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Gen. 1:1). All the patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, reflect an early monotheism (Gen. 12-50). This reveals one God who created […]
Summary Many scientists and others have regarded Christianity as an absurd belief system, or at best as a "religious," and by that they mean non-rational, faith. Why? Often it is because the hook on which Christianity is based, the Bible, has been said to date the origin of the universe at 4004 B.C., or some […]
As most of us are aware, many in today?s rationalistic/materialistic world would claim that the creation account in Genesis is simply a myth.? What is our response to this claim?? Many who believe that the creation account is a myth are professed Christians.? What is the effect on a supposed believer who assumes that the […]
A large number of books have been written in the past ten years to summarize this surprising feature of our universe; namely, that the universal constants have to be "just so" to have a universe suitable for life. A partial list includes The Anthropic Cosmological Principle by Barrow and Tipler (1986), Universes by John Leslie […]
INTRODUCTION On more than one occasion, evolutionary scientists, while diligently struggling to banish God from His own Universe, have inadvertently accomplished exactly the opposite, and in so doing, have come face-to-face with evidence so powerful, and so astonishing, that it enshrines Him all the more as Creator. However, rather than simply admitting that their findings […]

For several years he continued his research on quasars and galaxies as a post-doctoral fellow at the California Institute of Technology. A few years ago an alarm was sounded […]
The existence of God is a subject that has occupied schools of philosophy and theology for thousands of years. Most of the time, these debates have revolved around all kinds of assumptions and definitions. Philosophers will spend a lifetime arguing about the meaning of a word and never really get there. One is reminded of […]

For several years he continued his research on quasars and galaxies as a post-doctoral fellow at the California Institute of Technology. Summary Human existence is possible because the constants […]
From its inception Darwinism posed a challenge to Christian theology. Darwinism threatened to undo the Church’s understanding of creation, and therewith her understanding of the origin of human life. Nor did the challenge of Darwinism stop here. With human beings the result of a brutal, competitive process that systematically rooted out the weak and favored […]

The Case of the Missing Mechanism The growing crisis in Darwinian theory is becoming more apparent all the time. The work of creationists and other non-Darwinians is growing and finding a more receptive ear than ever before. In this discussion I want to elaborate on what I believe are the five critical areas where Darwinism […]
